Our Mission

62% Of Turtles Species
Have Either Already Become Extinct or on the Brink of Extinction.

Turtle Island’s mission is to preserve, protect and prevent the extinction of endangered turtle species.

Our Work

Awesome Turtles in
our sanctuary

Our mission foremost is to protect endangered turtle species from extinction. Turtle Island accomplishes this mission through four main programs, which you can read about here.

We also accomplish our mission by working with our global network of partners, supporters, animal keepers, and volunteers.

Together we all contribute to protecting the most threatened group of vertebrates on our planet – turtles.
